Self-Compassion Mindfulness Workshop

Self-compassion involves treating ourselves kindly, like we would a good friend which we cared about. Rather than continuously judging and assessing ourselves, self-compassion involves bringing kindness toward ourselves as human beings. This workshop will provide techniques to respond in a kind and compassionate way whenever we are experiencing painful emotions. We all want to ward off pain, but allowing it in — and responding compassionately to our own imperfections without harsh self-condemnation — are key toward living a more fulfilling life. Through a series of discussions, meditations and exercises, we will develop tools to help bring self-compassion into our daily life.
