Taking responsibility for our life

Life is a mixed bag. When everything seems to be going smooth, no sooner can a big challenge hit you. I have come to a point where I cannot blame anyone else for my experience of life. It is up to me how I experience the daily challenges and joys.

One thing is for sure. Things do affect us. Events and actions can make us angry, sad, happy, fearful etc. We are human beings experiencing all of life. Things will be pleasant and unpleasant at times.

Here are some things that might assist you:

1) Meditate regularly

Meditation calms the mind and the body

We come from beyond suffering and happiness. We come from a place that has no opposites and that is peaceful. Meditation brings you back to that place.

2) Gratitude

Gratitude is the attitude

Whoever you are and wherever you are, there are many things to be grateful for. Remembering the blessings in your life can suddenly make you feel like the luckiest person alive. It can change your perspective and empower you.

3) Do a good deed

A good deed can make another person feel great

Whether it is calling a relative that you haven’t spoken to in a long time or buying some flowers for your beloved, the act of doing something for another person can be inspiring. It can literally uplift you.
