This mindfulness programme is an 8-week course made up of weekly 2-hour sessions. It includes the essential elements considered key in mindfulness training: Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Participants will develop insight into their emotions, thoughts and sensations, becoming less caught up in habitual response patterns. Simple techniques like sitting meditation and gentle movement help to become more focussed, aware, relaxed and present. This workshop introduces some of the key foundations of Mindfulness. It is suitable for beginners or students who wish to revisit the practices. This is a silent day retreat in the heart of the South Downs. Suitable for students who have a regular yoga or meditation practice.
